Wine Recipe: Kir Royale

Kir Royale

A classic, elegant cocktail made with Champagne.


  • 1 oz crème de cassis (blackcurrant liqueur)
  • 5 oz chilled sparkling wine (such as Champagne, Prosecco, or Cava)


  • Fill a champagne flute with the chilled sparkling wine.
  • Gently pour the crème de cassis into the glass, allowing it to sink to the bottom.
  • Do not stir. The crème de cassis will naturally rise up through the sparkling wine, creating a beautiful purple hue.
