Chrysanthemum Tea Gin Fizz
One of the traditional customs of the Double Ninth Festival is to drink chrysanthemum wine. Traditional chrysanthemum wine is made from chrysanthemum, rice wine, and sugar. To turn it into a cocktail:
Ingredients:
- 50 ml chrysanthemum-infused gin
- 20 ml fresh lemon juice
- 15 ml honey syrup (1:1 honey and water)
- 150 ml soda water
Instructions:
- Prepare the chrysanthemum-infused gin with below 2 methods.
Method 1: Soak 50 g dried chrysanthemum in gin overnight
Method 2: Steep chrysanthemum tea and add gin overnight.
- In a shaker, mix the infused gin, lemon juice, and honey syrup with ice. Shake well.
- Strain into a highball glass with ice.
- Top with soda water, and enjoy!
