Which Grape Personality Are You?

Which Grape Personality Are You?

September is here again – back to school season!
Whether you’re starting a new semester, or already in the working world, there are always some classmates you’ll never forget.

Some talk a lot, but deep down they’re surprisingly conservative.
Some are always late, but once they arrive, the whole vibe changes.

Grapes are just the same – each variety has its own unique “personality.”

Which one feels most like you?
Or maybe it reminds you of an old friend?

Grenache

Looks calm and approachable, but once in a relationship, turns bold and passionate.

Grenache: Smooth with low tannins and sweet fruit flavors, gentle and friendly, but in a GSM blend or when aged, it bursts with bold, intense fruit and spice!

Cabernet Sauvignon

Serious at first, but inside still a bit raw and youthful.

Cabernet Sauvignon: Bold tannins, strong structure, grassy when young, complex after aging.

Barbera

Outgoing and friendly, super easy to hang with, but words can cut.

Barbera: Medium body, full of red fruit flavor, low tannin, but very high acidity like lemon juice.

Nebbiolo

Sharp and hard to approach at first, years later turns into a boss.

Nebbiolo: Pale color but very tannic. Young wines are harsh, but age into roses, truffle, smoky elegance.

Merlot

The class social king and queen, blends well and gets along with everyone.

Merlot: Soft, smooth, low tannins, easy-drinking. It can balance harsher grapes in blends.

Mourvèdre

Rough and tough outside, but inside wild and secretly romantic

Mourvèdre: Deep color, full body. Rich gamey and spicy flavors. Ages into floral elegance.
